Global online gambling operator Stake is poised to make its debut in Denmark, announcing an agreement to acquire MocinoPlay, the parent company of the popular Danish brand VinderCasino. Although financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed, the deal hinges on regulatory approval from Denmark’s Spillemyndigheden. Stake has not specified a timeline for completing the acquisition.

This acquisition is part of Stake’s broader strategy to expand its presence in regulated markets worldwide. Denmark represents a new frontier for the operator, marking its first entry into the Northern European market.

Strengthening Global Footprint

Stake’s expansion into Denmark follows closely on the heels of its launch in Brazil’s newly regulated gambling market on January 1. Last year, the operator secured a Brazilian license, paving the way for this milestone.

The Denmark acquisition is just the latest in a series of strategic moves. In 2023, Stake acquired Italy-based Baldo Line, the operator behind Idealbet.it, and Betfair Colombia, solidifying its presence in Southern Europe and Latin America.
